Dearborn Heights is a city where community spirit shines bright, especially during the months of winter. You will find many family fun activities, fitness and shopping centers with plenty of other options to offer. Exciting events and resources that make Dearborn Heights a fantastic place to live, work, and play will be found later in this blog.
Looking past all of the shopping centers, wonderful coffee shops and restaurants, not forgetting the summer time outdoor fun activities; I’d like to start off with highlighting one of the most peaceful spots in the city: the Dearborn Heights Community Library.
Located in the heart of the city, the Dearborn Heights Community Library is the perfect place to take a break and read a good book. It has a great selection of books in various genres and study rooms for the much needed quiet time. Let’s be serious here, we all just need that one moment to disconnect from the real world some times and I believe this is the perfect place to do just that!
The best part? The Dearborn Heights Community Library is just across the street from City Hall, making it super easy to take care of a few errands while you’re in the area. Whether you need to pay your water bill, property taxes, or handle any other city business, it’s all right there. It’s the perfect spot to knock out your to-do list and still have time to relax with a good book!
For those looking to stay active, 2024 brought an exciting new addition to the neighborhood: the outdoor Fitness Court!
In 2024, residents near Daly Park (Lehigh & Westlake Streets) were introduced to the brand-new outdoor Fitness Court. This fitness resource includes seven zones focused on core strength, squats, push-ups, lunges, agility and more. Perfect for adults of all ages, the Fitness Court provides a variety of exercise options adaptable to any fitness level. It’s a great way to stay fit in the fresh air while exploring new ways to challenge your body. Ideal in the much more warmer weather, in my opinion.
