It’s simple: look for availability, dedication, expertise, and loyalty.

 

These key qualities will make sure your agent is the perfect fit. Buyers and sellers often hire agents without considering these qualities, but overlooking them can sometimes make or break a deal. As someone who specializes in Michigan’s suburbs, I strive to demonstrate these qualities in every transaction I handle, making sure my clients feel supported every step of the way.

 

Real estate isn’t just about buying or selling properties, as a matter of fact, it’s about creating lasting relationships, understanding your goals, and finally, guiding you through one of the most important financial decision of your life. Here’s a quick run down of what I think these qualities mean and why they’re very important.

 

  • Availability Makes the Difference

An available agent always has the time to communicate and make quick action, especially in a fast-moving market. Imagine finding your dream home only to find out it’s already under contract because your agent wasn’t available.

 

I like to stay available by responding quickly to calls, texts, or emails, setting up showings on short notice, and always staying ahead of the game. It’s all about being there when it counts the most. 

 

  • Dedication to Your Goals

Dedication goes beyond showing up—it means going the extra mile to achieve all your goals. A dedicated agent doesn’t just prioritize your needs; they make them their mission. They are tirelessly searching for the right property, negotiating on your behalf, or helping you through every detail of the paperwork, dedication ensures you’re always their top priority.

 

FUN FACT 😎 : I once worked with a seller who was incredibly motivated to sell his home. We listed the property, and within the first day, it was buzzing with activity. By the end of the day, we received our first offer! We carefully reviewed it together and the seller decided it was the right move.

But it wasn’t all smooth sailing. We hit a few hurdles along the way, but by staying persistent, I kept working closely with the buyer’s agent to resolve every issue and keep things on track. In the end, we made it to the closing table, and my client was thrilled to see the deal finalized. Stories like this remind me why I love what I do—and show just how important dedication is in this business.

 

  • Expertise You Can Count On

In a constantly changing market, expertise is essential. Your agent’s knowledge of local neighborhoods, today’s market, and pricing strategies can make or break your experience. For example, Michigan’s suburbs offer diverse opportunities, with something for everyone, from neighborhoods with excellent schools and parks to other areas with a range of amenities. With that being said, an experienced agent knows how to match your needs with the perfect community, making sure your decisions are informed and strategic.

 

I’m a big believer that there’s always something new to learn. Learning from business leaders and experts. Whether it’s picking up tips on negotiation, marketing, or just better ways to connect with people, I’m always looking for ways to grow and improve. At the end of the day, the more I learn, the better I can serve you. 😀 

 

  • Loyalty Builds Trust

Loyalty is the foundation of any successful agent-client relationship. When your agent puts your interests first, it builds trust and confidence. A loyal agent is your advocate, when negotiating the best price, protecting your interests during inspections, or offering honest advice even when it’s difficult. Loyalty means knowing you have someone in your corner, working to achieve the best outcome for you.

 

At a young age, someone wise once told me that “In order to do great things in life, you need to treat people how you want to be treated.” and I can confidently say it’s advice most of us have heard at least once. That’s by showing respect, loyalty, and being there and present. Trust is the foundation of everything—both personally and professionally. I take that very seriously. 🙂

They’re someone who listens to your vision and helps you navigate the toughest parts of buying or selling a home. Pending home sales rose by 2.2% in November, the fourth consecutive monthly increase and the highest level since February 2023. Buyers are adapting to steady mortgage rates and benefiting from increased inventory as the market shifts. Year-over-year, all regions experienced gains, with the West leading at an 11.8% increase.
